Janice Ruby Box
Janice Ruby Box, 83 of Saint Cloud, FL passed away on May 28, 2017. She was born on June 14, 1933 to Frank and Lillian (Edwards) Bertoline in Vulcan, Michigan.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud, and was an Office Clerk for the Orange County School System for many years.
Janice is survived by her loving family; three sons, Scott (Jacky) Box and Jim (Ellen) Box both of Murfreesboro, TN, John (Jana) Box of Saint Cloud, FL; Daughter, Susan (Harrison) Prater of Winter Garden, FL; sister, Nancy (Ron) Whitehead of Winter Garden, FL; two grandsons, Michael (Rachel) Box and Nick Box both of Murfreesboro, TN; three granddaughters, Bobbi Jo (Jason) Box of Denver, CO, Ashlyn Box and Alyssa Box both of Saint Cloud, FL; great-grandson, Henley Box of Murfressboro, TN and great-granddaughter, Georgia Box of Saint Cloud, FL. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Len and her parents, Frank and Lillian Bertoline.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2017 beginning at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud., 1000 Ohio Avenue, St. Cloud, FL 34769. The Interment will follow in the Dr. Phillip's Cemetery, 5398 Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice.
Jeanette A. "Jan" Schmidt
President of the Woman's Club of St. Cloud from 1994-1995
"Jan" Jeanette A Schmidt, 92, died in St. Cloud, Florida, on April 30, 2013.
Jeanette was born June 11, 1920, in Kinderhook, Michigan, to Bessie Marie Tubbs and Lyle Leslie Flint. Beloved and adored by her family and friends for her loving, generous and embracing nature, Jeanette is survived by daughters Valli Thayer McDougle, Denver, CO, and Jean Marie (Pease) Gemrich, Delton, MI, son Thomas Edgar Thayer, Rockville, MD, and stepson Paul Schmidt, Elyria, OH. Son David Marshall Thayer died in March, 2010. She is also survived by 13 of her 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren. On May 4, 2013, a memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud. The family requests that donations be made in Jeanette's name to a church of your choice.
(Harriet) Elaine Heverly
Elaine Heverly died on November 25, 2013. Her memorial service was held at the Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, St. Cloud, Florida on November 29, 2013. Elaine was born and raised on a farm in New York State (Johnson City and Binghamton) for a total of 45 years. She graduated from Harpersville High School in 1950. She worked as a manager at Snelliing and Snelling Employment Agency and as advertising manager and personal secretary for Endwell Rug Company.
Elaine thoroughly enjoyed crafting, sewing and floral design, winning many blue ribbons and state awards. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, loved cats and dogs, and wrote short stories about cats. She is survived by her husband, Russell, two children, six grandchidren and nine great-grandchildren.
Anna "Pat" Jones
Pat Jones died on May 2, 2014 in Sterling Heights, Michigan, at age 84. Her memorial service was held on May 10, 2014 at Utica United Methodist Church, Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was born and raised in a small community outside of Orlando. Her family moved to West Virginia where Pat met and married her husband, Carl. Pat worked as a loan servicing manager with Thomas and Hill Mortgage Company for five years and for twenty years as a mortgage loan officer with Bank of Cross Lanes (West Virginia). Pat and Carl maintained a winter home in St. Cloud. She became a member of the Woman's Club of St. Cloud in 1992. She was also a member, beginning in 1970, of the Woman's Club of Cross Lane, WV. Survivors include her husband, Carl R. Sr.; son Carl " Ron" Jr.; daughter Carole Pompa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
